GO-CORE, Core subproject

Subproject objective

The main objective of this subproject is to build a basic development and test platform for mobile and wireless communication in Otaniemi following the GPRS standard as closely as possible.

In the Core subproject, the basic data transmission, mobility management, and signaling mechanisms shall be implemented. The Core project shall use the results of the MART (Mobile AdHoc Routing Testbed) project that shall develop the first (crude) prototype of the wireless mobility protocols during the Fall 1998.
